2011Tennessee Journalist: UT hosts forum for Knoxville mayoral candidates

Knoxville's mayoral candidates met face to face for a forum Tuesday night at the UT College of Law. Candidates Ivan Harmon, Madeline Rogero, Mark Padgett, and Bo Bennett participated in the forum. Marilyn Roddy was the only candidate not present, as she had a prior commitment to speak to the North Knoxville Republicans Club. WATE's Gene Patterson served as moderator.

 

All four candidates stressed the importance of lowering the unemployment rate, making neighborhoods safer, and improving Knoxville's waterfront, Cumberland Avenue, and downtown areas.
