Mark Launches Ad Campaign Stressing Job Creation

Knoxville, TN – The Mark Padgett for Knoxville City Mayor campaign (www.VotePadgett.com) today announced their latest round of paid advertising, including the launch of its second TV commercial: “Lonsdale.”

Script:

-As a kid, I washed dishes in my family's restaurant right across the street from my grandparent's house here in Lonsdale.
-I'm Mark Padgett.
-Five years ago, with $5,000 and a borrowed laptop, I started a business in Knoxville that makes it possible for local governments to cut red tape and let people do more online.
-Now, I'm running for mayor of this great city because Knoxville deserves a leader who will create private sector jobs by helping small businesses succeed and by attracting new companies to Knoxville.  With your help, we can keep moving Knoxville forward.

Lonsdale will air today through September 27 on cable and network television. View the commercial below or online at http://www.YouTube.com/PadgettForMayor.

“Since our campaign started last December, I’ve knocked on thousands of doors, met with hundreds of community groups and participated in over 35 debates,” said Padgett. “My campaign has consistently gained momentum because my plan to create jobs and economic growth is resonating with Knoxvillians from all walks of life.  As early voting begins next week, I want folks to know that my top priority is to grow our economy because it’s the only way we can afford to invest in the programs and services we all care about.”

The campaign has also invested in ads on Google, Facebook, and community newspapers and websites. Fourteen billboards are also being posted on major roads throughout Knoxville.
