Knoxville, TN – The Mark Padgett for Knoxville City Mayor campaign (www.VotePadgett.com) today announced a fundraising total of more than $408,000. The campaign has raised over $135,000 since July 1.

“Every dollar of support is an investment in my plan to create jobs and strengthen our neighborhoods,” said Padgett. “I’ve shared my plan to move Knoxville forward with hundreds of businesses, community organizations, and neighborhood associations. Thanks to our dedicated interns and volunteers, my campaign has also made 20,000 voter contacts through phone calls and knocking on doors. We’re going to continue to work tirelessly through Election Day. I urge everyone to encourage their friends, families, and colleagues to make their voice heard and vote.”

The official report will be filed – and available online – with the Knox County Election Commission on September 20, 2011.
